The Clarkson University Women's Tennis team posted its second straight victory with a dominating 8-1 win at Oswego State on Wednesday afternoon. The Golden Knights won five of the six singles matches and swept the doubles. Freshman Emily Emerick (Loudonville, NY) won her third straight match at number one singles while senior Nicole Mikkelson (Jackson, NJ), sophomore Meghan Jones (Lake George, NY), junior Melissa Monson (Rutland, VT) and freshman Anna Sawyer (Sodus, NY) picked up singles victories at #3, #4, #5 and #6, respectively.
Emerick and classmate Shannon Hopkins (Amsterdam, NY), Monson and senior Katherine Cyr (Gorham, ME), and Jones and Sawyer won in doubles play to help Clarkson improve its record to 2-1. The Knights host Rensselaer this Saturday at Snell Courts beginning at 10:00 a.m.
