Potsdam, NY - In what was likely the final match of the season for the Clarkson University Women's Tennis team, the Golden Knights dropped a tight match against Potsdam State, 5-4.
The Golden Knights, who finished the regular season with a 5-5 overall record, were led by freshman Emily Emerick (Loudonville, NY), who improved her record to 9-1 at number one singles with a three-set win. Junior Melissa Monson (Rutland, VT) and sophomore Meghan Jones (Lake George, NY) each picked up singles victories for Clarkson. Jones and freshman Anna Sawyer (Sodus, NY) combined on the only doubles match victory for the Golden Knights.
