Potsdam, NY - With a goal just 10 minutes into the game, junior striker Jennifer Urquhart (Portland, ME) helped the Clarkson University Women's Soccer team get off to a fast start and led the Golden Knights to a 3-0 non-league win over Oswego State Tuesday afternoon at Clarkson Field.

Urquhart's first goal, coming at the 10:51 mark, came on a break away that started on a long kick from goaltender Lauren Arredondo (Allendale, NJ), who also stopped four shots for her second shutout of the season. Kimberly Otto (Canandaigua, NY) scored her first goal of the season 28 minutes later on another break away, started by Linda Fernandez (Kennebunkport, ME). Urquhart added her sixth goal of the season 16 minutes into the second half on a diagonal cross from Katelyn Wagner (Troy, NY).

Oswego State (6-7-0) did outshoot the Golden Knights 9-5 and had a 4-2 advantage in corner kicks. Alecia Scorsone recorded one save for the Lakers in the loss.

The Golden Knights return to Upstate Collegiate Athletic Association (UCAA) action this weekend when they visit William Smith and Hamilton on Friday and Saturday
