Poughkeepsie, NY - Decimated by injuries over the past few weeks, the Clarkson University Women's Soccer team struggled against Vassar College and dropped a 3-1 Upstate Collegiate Athletic Association (UCAA) game Friday afternoon at Prentiss Field.
Trailing 2-0 at the half, freshman midfielder Katelyn Wagner (Troy, NY) moved the Golden Knights, who fell to 4-10-2 overall and 1-5 in the UCAA, back in the game when she turned and fired a shot from 18 yards out.
Lindsey Pilver, Shannon Stagner, and Sarah Combs each scored a goal to help Vassar win its first UCAA game of the season.
Lauren Arredondo (Allendale, NJ) made seven saves for the Golden Knights.
Clarkson concludes the regular season at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday afternoon when they visit Rensselaer.
