Rochester, NY - Melissa Gonzales scored an unassisted goal from 12 yards out with less than two minutes remaining in the first overtime as St. John Fisher defeated the Clarkson University Women's Soccer team 2-1 in a non-league game Saturday afternoon.

The Cardinals took control of the game with a 1-0 lead at the 14:49 mark in the first half when Julie Munding scored for St. John Fisher. However, the Golden Knights' Linda Fernandez (Kennebunkport, ME) scored her third goal in two games when she tied the score 1-1 at the 33:23 mark. Fernandez stole a pass and shot from 10 yards out to record the unassisted goal.

Lauren Arredondo (Allendale, NJ) made 12 saves in net for the Golden Knights, who fell to 4-8-2 overall. St. John Fisher improved to 3-11-1 on the season with the win.

The Golden Knights return home to face Ithaca College at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday.
