SENIOR YEAR (2002-03)—Saw action in 23 games in his senior campaign, starting 22 … Suffered some tough luck in losing five one-goal games … Posted the fourth best overall goals against average in the ECAC at 2.42 and fifth best overall save percentage in the league at .910 … Was ranked third in ECAC play in GAA (2.36) and fourth in save percentage (.910) … Posted a career-high 42 saves in 3-3 overtime tie at nationally ranked Harvard (2/28) … Was named ECAC Goaltender of the Week (12/2) after posting 23 saves in a 4-0 shutout over Providence (11/29) at Cheel Arena … Recorded his third consecutive shutout over Colgate with a 21-save effort in 3-0 win over the Raiders in Hamilton (1/25) … Also blanked the Raiders 6-0 in Potsdam (1/4) behind 13 saves … Finished with 11 career shutouts and a 38-35-9 overall record … Tallied first career point, an assist, and made 24 saves in the Knights' 2-1 victory at Rensselaer (11/8) … Named to ECAC Weekly Honor Roll twice (11/18, 1/27) … A strong student, majoring in Finance, who was named to the 2003 ECAC Hockey all-Academic Team ... JUNIOR YEAR (2001-02)—Played more minutes (2,208:30) than any other ECAC goaltender … Started 37 of 38 games and posted a .911 save percentage and a 2.39 goals against average en route to a 16-14-6 record, which included four shutouts … Stopped 63 of 65 shots in the Knights’ quarterfinal series sweep of St. Lawrence (3/8-9), including a career-best 18 stops in the second period of the 3-1 game one series win … Posted a career-high 41 saves vs. Harvard in ECAC Tr. Semifinals (3/15) … Recorded shutouts– in 5-0 win over Miami (10/19) with 28 saves, in 2-0 victory over Mercyhurst (1/4) with 14 stops, in 1-0 triumph over Union (1/12) behind 28 saves and in 2-0 win at Colgate (2/22) behind a 22-save effort … Gained back-to-back ECAC Goaltender of the Week honors (1/7, 1/14) and selected to ECAC Weekly Honor Roll four times (10/22, 2/24, 3/3, 3/10) along with earning ECAC All-Academic recognition … Ranks 12th among all-time Clarkson goaltenders in career wins with a 32-21-7 career record with eight shutouts.
SOPHOMORE YEAR (2000-01)—After playing just once in the first 15 games of the season, he started the last 20 games for the nationally-ranked Knights and backboned Clarkson to its ninth ECAC Regular Season title … Posted a 14-3 record, including four shutouts, down the stretch … Recorded ECAC-best 1.65 goals against average, which was the lowest posted in the league since Ken Dryden put up the same mark in 1969 … Also held the ECAC’s best winning percentage (.824%) and second-best save percentage (.931) in the league … Named a second-team ECAC All-Star … Became only the second goaltender in Clarkson history, who played at least 200 minutes, to finish the season with a goals against average under 2.00 …Second to All-America Wally Easton’s 1.33 Clarkson mark set in 1930-31 with a 1.86 GAA overall through 21 games … Also finished with a .922 save percentage and a 15-4-1 record overall … Made first appearance of the season as starting goaltender in second game of the year, the 4-4 tie at Miami (10/14) … Did not play again until getting the starting nod in 3-2 victory at Rensselaer (1/12) … Posted first career shutout the following night with 27 saves in 5-0 victory at Union (1/13) … Also shutout Yale 6-0 with 16 saves in Potsdam (2/2), blanked Brown 4-0 (2/17) on the road with 23 stops and thwarted Cornell 2-0 (2/24) behind an 18-save effort … Selected for ECAC weekly honors seven times … Named ECAC/Heaton Goaltender of the Week (1/22) ... ECAC All-Academic Team … Honored with CU's Mike Morrison Coaches’ Award.
FRESHMAN YEAR (1999-00)—A walk-on who played six games, starting two … Saw first collegiate action in 4-3 loss at Colgate (11/19) when he posted 11 saves and allowed one goal to take the loss in a relief effort (28:08) … Made his first career start in 10-4 loss at Cornell (11/20), recording 11 saves, while allowing six goals … Posted first career victory with eight stops through 28:28 of play in 6-4 win over Lowell (12/10).
BEFORE CLARKSON—Played 24 games with the Waterloo Blackhawks in the USHL in 1998-99 and posted a .890 save percentage and a 3.96 goals against average ... Played for two seasons at Kimball Union Academy (1996-98) ... 1997 and 1998 HNIB All-Scholastic All-Star and KUA Team MVP.
