SENIOR YEAR (2001-02)—Helped to lead the Golden Knights back to ECAC Tournament semifinal round after a two-year absence by serving as an assistant captain … A four-year veteran, who played an important role as the Golden Knights posted an 80-52-13 record, made four appearances in the ECAC Tournament, including three trips to Lake Placid, two ECAC Regular Season titles (1999, 2001) and a league tournament championship (1999) along with one NCAA Regional appearance (1999) … Scored 11 points (3-8) playing in all 38 games on defense this season after recording just two assists through 34 games in an injury plagued junior campaign …Scored his first goal since February of 2000 with the Knights' second goal in 3-2 victory over Princeton (11/9) … Also scored in 6-1, second-game ECAC Quarterfinal series victory over St. Lawrence (3/9) and in 6-5 loss at St. Lawrence (1/29) … Notched two assists in 8-1 win over Mercyhurst (1/5) … Helped set-up winning goal in 7-6 ot triumph over St. Lawrence (11/3) … Collected two assists, including on the tying goal in 3-3 ot tie at Dartmouth (1/18) … Also picked-up an assist against Rensselaer in ECAC Tournament consolation game (3/16) ... The recipient of Clarkson's Paul J. Pilon Award, presented to the appropriate senior who has excelled as a student and hockey player.
JUNIOR YEAR (2000-01)—Underrated, steady stay-at-home defenseman … Battled through a back injury all season to miss just one game … Picked up first points of the season in Clarkson’s sweep of Colgate and Cornell (2/23-24) at Cheel Arena with one assist in each game … Posted a +6 rating … Third on the team in penalty minutes with 41.
SOPHOMORE YEAR (1999-00)—Returned to form after missing the first 10 games recovering from a back injury … Skated in last 25 games … Recorded two assists in ECAC Quarterfinal first-game win over Princeton (3/10) … Assisted on Clarkson's second goal in ECAC Preliminary game against Cornell (3/16) in Lake Placid ... Scored back-to-back goals in Knights’ weekend sweep at Brown (2/18) and Harvard (2/19) … Posted an assist in first game back from injury, 3-2 loss at Ferris State (11/28) … Scored first goal of the season in 5-2 win over Mankato (1/7) … Finished season with 12 points on three goals and nine assists.
FRESHMAN YEAR (1998-99)—Played in all 37 games as a rookie defenseman ... Scored three goals and four assists ... Posted his first multiple-point game with a goal and an assist in 6-1 win at Dartmouth (1/15) ... Also scored goals in the 2-2 tie vs Niagara (12/11), for his first collegiate goal, and in the 8-2 victory at Yale (2/19) ... Tallied his last point with an assist in 9-3 win over Brown (2/26) ... Paired up with junior Philippe Roy on the blueline ... Owned a +6 plus/minus rating.
BEFORE CLARKSON—An all-star for the Nipawin Hawks, coached by Bruce Thompson, of the Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League (SJHL) ... Team MVP ... Scored 14 goals and 18 assists for 32 points through 64 games of the 1997-98 campaign.
