SENIOR YEAR (2003-04)—
A top penalty-killer for the Knights … Clarkson's fifth-leading scorer with 19 points, including 10 goals … 2 GWGs, 1 SHG … Tallied game-winning goal with a shorthanded tally in 1-0 win at Colgate (2/27) … Scored first career hat trick in 8-2 win vs. Mercyhurst (1/3) … Earned ECAC weekly Honor Roll mention once (1/5) ... Was presented with Clarkson's Paul J. Pilon Award, which was established in the memory of the former Clarkson hockey player who died in a tragic car wreck in 1937. It is presented when appropriate to the senior, who has excelled both as a student and hockey player ... Was instrumental in starting the Clarkson Hockey team’s charitable organization to benefit North Country area youth, Knights for Kids. Power Play Goals for Kids was the main fundraising focus for the 2003-2004 season, which raised funds for Camp Ta Kum Ta, a camp for children battling the effects of cancer ... Also shared the Clarkson Booster Club's Knight Club Award with classmate Jean Desrochers ... Edwards was a nominee for the 2004 Hockey Humanitarian Award.

JUNIOR YEAR (2002-03)—
A steady two-way center who was among the Knights’ most consistent forwards defensively with a +4 plus/minus rating … Netted three goals and recorded eight assists for 11 points, playing in all 35 games … Posted three multiple-point games … Scored his first career shorthanded marker in 3-0 win at Colgate (1/25) along with assisting on the winning goal … Tallied a goal and an assist in 7-3 victory at Princeton (2/7) and set up two goals in 7-1 triumph over Rensselaer (2/1) … Opened season with one goal and one assist in two-game series at Ohio State (10/25-27) … Help set up lone goal in 1-0 victory over Vermont (1/11) ... Honored with Clarkson’s Fran Neragin Award, presented to a player who excels in sportsmanship and academics along with contributing significantly to the hockey program.

SOPHOMORE YEAR (2001-02)—Saw action in 32 games, scoring four goals and three assists … Scored Clarkson’s first goal in ECAC Tr. Semifinal game against Harvard (3/15)... Set up Knights’ first goal in 6-1 win over St. Lawrence (3/9) in second game of the ECAC Quarterfinal series … Scored twice in 8-5 victory over nationally-ranked UNH (12/7) to earn ECAC weekly Honor Roll mention (12/11) … Also scored a power-play goal in 3-2 win over Princeton (11/9).

FRESHMAN YEAR (2000-01)—Started out strong in his freshman campaign as a speedy forward for the Golden Knights with four goals and two assists through the first seven games … Finished with 10 points on five goals and five assists through 33 games … Named ECAC/CCM Rookie of the Week (11/6) … Scored two goals each in 4-2 win over Quinnipiac (11/4) and in 7-2 victory over St. Lawrence (11/18) … Closed out season with one goal and one assist in first game of ECAC Quarterfinal series against Vermont (3/9) … Tallied assists in wins on the road over Princeton (11/10), Yale (11/11), Ohio State (12/28) and Colgate (1/27).

BEFORE CLARKSON—Played for the Kanata Valley Lasers and the Smiths Falls Bears in 1999-00 ... Totaled 24 goals and 33 assists for 57 points along with 58 penalty minutes through 50 games ... Named Rookie of the Year for Smiths Falls in 1999.

PERSONAL—Son of Darlene and Dan Edwards ... Born July 19, 1982 ... Shoots left ... Excellent student majoring in Business ... Wore #17 as a freshman and sophomore ... Chairman of the Upstate Collegiate Athletic Association (UCAA) NCAA Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) and President of Clarkson's S.A.A.C. ...
