Clarkson got balanced scoring from 5 different skaters, and points from 8 in total, along with a combined 25 save shut out from all 3 goalies, for a 5-0 win over Bishop's University.
Clarkson gave up the first shot to Bishop's and then rattled off 14 leading to the newly named Captian,
Sena Catterall scoring the opening goal of the season.Â

Kate Manness assisted on Catterall's goals.Â
Lara Beecher made it 2-0 when she scored on a great redirect from
Rhea Hicks. The Knights held a 24 to 4 shot advantage after a period,
Holly Gruber getting the 4 saves as the starter in net.
The middle frame would see Bishop's push back some, out shooting the Knights 15-9, but the lone goal was
Janelle Evans at 17:28, with an assist from Sara Maness. Aneta Šenková  would make 15 saves in the period for the Knights.
Clarkson would wear down the Gaiters in the third, with 2 goals on 16 shots.Â
Reese Logan would mark the 3rd new Knight to score when she made it 4-0, Beecher would get her 3rd point on the night along with Ullmann on the assist.Â
Shelby Laidlaw capped off the game at 16:18 to make it 5-0. Ullmann would get her 2nd assists and Assistant Captian,
Keira Hurry also earned a point on the Laidlaw goal.Â
Arianne Leblanc would make 6 saves including a late breakaway stop to preserve the shutout.Â
Clarkson held Bishop to 0-3 on the power play, while going 0-2 on their chances with the advantage. Â
Clarkson was able to dress 3 extra skaters tonight, giving the coaching staff a chance to see 25 players in action.Â
Next weekend the Knights open up NCAA play with a two game set at Merrimack out of Hockey East. Â
