The final tournament of the regular-season awaits for the Clarkson University Golf team as the Golden Knights head to Central New York to compete at the Shenandoah Golf Course at the Turning Stone Resort in Verona, NY for the Liberty League Championships.

The Course: Last year the Shenendoah course played at 6763 yards and par-72. The Liberty League Championships are scheduled for three days and 54 total holes.

The Team: The same group that played at Bethpage Red last week will take the trip to Turning Stone this weekend. Eric Spoth's scoring average jumped a little to 75.41 strokes per 18 holes in 2024-25, slightly under his score of 231 last spring on the same course (77.00). It was Ryan Makowski who had the best tally in 2024 at Shenendoah, running the three-day event at 226 (75.33). Makowski's scoring average in 2024-25 is 76.59, though that number has risen somewhat by his 77.50 average in four competitive rounds this spring. Andrew Palmatier is scoring 75.00 this spring to lower his season's average to 78.67. A year ago Palmatier shot 230 on the same course.

The two newcomers to Shenandoah are sophomore Joe Tiderencel and freshman Tyler Yacawych. Tiderencel's scoring average for the year is 81.00, but he was solid last weekend when he shot a four-over par 74 on the first day of the Farmingdale State Spring Invitational. Yacawych has a scoring average of 77.69 for the year, but he has shot 76.00 his last seven rounds and has been even better in four spring rounds (75.25).
