Returning to competitive play for the first time in six months, the Clarkson University Golf team heads to the annual Tim Brown Invitational this weekend, hosted by Skidmore College at the Ballston Spa Country Club.

The Team: The top scoring averages from the fall are making their way to Ballston Spa for the opening spring weekend. Much like they did during their first collegiate season, sophomores Eric Spoth and Ryan Makowski spent much of the fall jockeying for the top spot among Clarkson's scoring leaders. Spoth finished the fall with a 75.54 scoring average through 13 rounds, scoring in the 70s on 10 occasions and going below 75 eight times. Makowski ended up at 76.31 in the fall, also going below 80 10 times, including five rounds of 73 or fewer strokes. Daniel Wilson was below 80 on seven occasions and averaged 78.79 strokes while first-year Tyler Yacawych was barely behind Wilson at 78.78, going sub-80 six times in only nine competitive rounds. Andrew Palmatier was also nearly in the 70s, averaging 80.50 strokes per round, going sub-80 four times in eight tournament rounds.
