Clarkson's Madelynn Barnum Named Liberty League Offensive Performer of the Week

Senior Madelynn Barnum of the Clarkson University Women's Lacrosse team continued her strong start to the 2024 season this past week with two more impressive displays against Nazareth and Rochester, and the conference office took notice as she was picked for Liberty League Offensive Performer of the Week.

Barnum accumulated 12 points over the course of two games while also adding five draws, three groundballs, and three caused turnovers. She produced four goals and an assist in a 14-9 win over Nazareth on Wednesday and then followed that up with six goals and an assist against University of Rochester on Saturday afternoon.

Overall, Barnum has already scored 48 points through nine games, leading the Liberty League in goals scored (43) while also ranking second in points (48). She also ranks in the top 10 in the conference in caused turnovers (second, 1.89 per game), groundballs (fourth, 2.56 per game), and draw controls (seventh, 4.56 per game).
