Makowski Picked as Liberty League Rookie of the Week Once Again

Freshman standout Ryan Makowski of the Clarkson University Golf team earned Liberty League Rookie of the Week honors for the fourth time this fall after he shot 73 at the Skidmore Fall Golf Invitational on Sunday.

Makowski has been chosen as the conference's Rookie of the Week four times in five weeks that the team was active this fall, including three consecutive times. His 73 on Sunday was one-over par and put him in a tie for 23rd among 119 golfers at the Skidmore Invitational.

Makowski finished the fall as the team's lowest scorer, averaging 76.73 strokes per 18 holes over the course of 11 competitive rounds, with 10 of his 11 rounds below 80. He shot 75 or below on four occasions, including Sunday. His scoring average for the fall is the lowest by a freshman in more than 15 seasons.
