The Series: Although Ithaca has been a part of the Liberty League since just 2017, the Golden Knights and Bombers have faced one another 51 times prior to Saturday's game, with Clarkson holding an 18-30-3 record against Ithaca. The Knights have gone 4-1-2 versus the Bombers since 2016, which includes a scoreless tie last season.

Key Stats for Clarkson (6-3-0, 2-2-0 Liberty League): The Knights have fallen back to the pack a bit in the conference after a pair of defeats against Hobart College and St. Lawrence University, placing them in fifth in terms of winning percentage (.500) but tied for second with three other teams in points (six). Clarkson has outshot its opponents in seven of nine games and have suffered just two shutouts, both which have come in the last two games. Nolan Grady leads the team in points (nine), goals (four), shots (25), and shots on goal (11).

Key Stats for Ithaca (4-3-2, 2-1-0 Liberty League): Ian Whitfield and Johannes Berghahn have split time between the posts for the Bombers, with the latter having played 480 minutes to Whitfield's 330 minutes. However, it is Whitfield who has played the last 235 minutes for Ithaca, having allowed two goals with eight saves in that stretch. For the season, Whitfield has a 0.54 goals against average and .833 save percentage. Ithaca's offense is spread out, with seven different players having accumulated three points or more, but none having surpassed a total of four in 2023.
