Joining the honor roll among standout student-athletes from the Clarkson Men's Soccer program, sophomore John Furcick became the latest to perform well both in the classroom and on the pitch, gaining CoSIDA Academic All-District 3 honors for his efforts.
Furcick becomes the 10th student-athlete from the Golden Knights' Men's Soccer program to earn the academic honor since 1993, and the third since 2010.
Through his first two semesters, Furcick has a flawless 4.00 grade-point average with a dual major in environmental and civil engineering. This season he finished tied for fourth in the conference in points with four, scoring a goal to go along with two assists. Furcick ranked fifth on the team in minutes played despite sitting out a pair of non-league contests, serving as a key offensive facilitator on corner kicks.
