For the first time in five games, the Clarkson University Men's Soccer team will play on its home field. The Golden Knights will play two games on Hantz Turf Field. First, Union will come to town for a 4:00 pm game on Friday and then Rensselaer will arrive for a 2:00 pm game on Saturday afternoon.

Clarkson has a 4-7-1 overall record and is 1-3-0 in Liberty League games.

Last weekend saw Clarkson travel to RIT and fall 2-1. RIT opened the scoring, but senior Zach Godin tied the game on a penalty kick late in the first half. An RIT goal early in the second period was the difference though as Clarkson lost for a single goal for the fourth time this season.

Tucker Wilcox leads the team with 16 points on seven goals and two assists. Wilcox is fifth in the conference in points and tied for fourth in goals. Not far behind him is Godin who has 13 points on six goals and an assist. Godin has successfully converted a penalty kick in Clarkson's last three games.  In conference games, Godin is the league leader with six points and three goals. Kevin Calnan leads the team with four assists, placing him in a tie for fourth in the conference. Michael King has made 36 saves this year, the third best total in the Liberty League.

Union comes into the weekend with a 7-1-3 overall record and a 1-0-2 Liberty League mark. The Dutchmen started their conference slate with ties against Hobart and RPI, before they got their first conference win against Bard. Union has not lost in seven straight games, going 5-0-2 in that span. Union is second in the league in offense, scoring 2.636 goals per game and is first in the league in scoring margin, outscoring teams by 2.09 goals. Carl Faber leads the team with 18 points on nine goals, totals that put him tied for third and second respectively in the Liberty League. The Dutchmen are ranked tenth in the East Region. Clarkson has an all-time record of 16-15-1 against Union and won 1-0 at Union last season. Godin scored the game-winning goal in that contest.

RPI owns an 8-2-3 overall record and a 1-1-2 Liberty League record.  RPI comes in ranked sixth in the East Region. The Engineers won their first eight games of the season, but have gone just 0-2-3 in their last five contests. RPI has sandwiched ties against Hobart and Union around an overtime loss against RIT so far in conference games. RPI has allowed just .46 goals per game which is the second best rate in the league. Against the Engineers, Clarkson is 21-26-4 all-time. RPI has won five straight matchups between the two teams, including a 3-0 triumph last year. Clarkson's last win in the series came in 2005.
