Men's Soccer Loses to St. Lawrence on Late Goal

Box Score A late goal doomed the Clarkson University Men's Soccer team as they lost on the road 2-1 against St. Lawrence.
 
Clarkson finishes its season with an overall record of 7-10-1 and 2-6-0 in the Liberty League while St. Lawrence is 14-2-1 overall and 7-0-1 in Liberty League games.
 
The first half was a scoreless affair, but the Saints would break the deadlock three minutes into the second half. Rob Brandell headed the ball to Jamal Samaroo who scored to put St. Lawrence up 1-0.
 
Clarkson had struggled to create scoring chances for much of the game, but in the 81st minute, they earned a free kick outside of the box. Junior Marco Parisi (Guilford, CT) played the ball into the box and Alex Lewis (Hollywood, FL) rose to meet it and his header found the back of the net. Just three minutes later, the Golden Knights had a corner kick. After Zachary Godin (Philadelphia, NY) crossed it into the box, it fell to Parisi whose shot was saved by was saved by Saints keeper Aaron Costello.
 
St. Lawrence would score the game-winning goal with just two minutes to play. Mark Provost crossed the ball into the Clarkson box and Chandler Short headed it in to give the Saints the win.
