A hard-working, solid, two-way forward, Gabrielle Kosziwka provides a spark to the Clarkson line up and has contributed significantly to the Golden Knights’ success over the past four years. Entering the final four games of the regular season, the Limehouse, Ontario native has never been out of the lineup for Clarkson having skated in 143 consecutive games. She has recorded 20 goals and 24 assists in her career and boasts a +25 plus/minus. Kosziwka scored one of the biggest goals in the program’s history with the winning tally in the 3-2 victory over Harvard in the ECAC Hockey playoffs on March 5, 2010 that sent Clarkson to the conference tournament championship game.

What made you choose to play hockey and when did you start playing?
I wanted to be like my big brother. I think I was 5. My dad gave me a toonie for my first goal and I was hooked.
What’s the best part of playing?
Blocking shots.
Most Memorable Clarkson Hockey moment?
In the ECAC Semi-finals against Harvard 2010, Katelyn and I had a nice play where I won the draw back to her and she fired a shot on net and I got a tip on it. It was the game winner to send us into the finals.
Funniest person on your team?
Matt Kelly.
Person who had the biggest influence on your life?
Grandpa- always my biggest fan.
The most famous person you have met is?
George Kosziwka (a.k.a Papa Bear) always finding innovative ways to make people laugh.
Person in history you most like to meet?
Well it’s a few people actually: Cleopatra I-VI and the various King Ptolemys. Kali and I need a better understanding of that family tree so that we can formulate our hypothesis of whether Katelyn is actually a descendent.
On what people would be surprised to know about you?
I actually don’t snore.
