The Clarkson University Athletic Department is pleased to announce the addition of two new staff members, Assistant Athletic Trainers Brenda Crawford and Morgan Collins.
Brenda Crawford, whose primary responsibility is to act as the trainer for Clarkson’s Division I Women’s Hockey program, most recently worked at Bridgewater State College in Massachusetts, functioning as an athletic training teaching assistant. She has extensive experience in the Northeast, including work with Division I programs at Brown University in 2009. Crawford also worked as the assistant athletic trainer with the Hamilton Bulldogs of the American Hockey League in Ontario from 2005 to 2007.
Crawford, who graduated from the University of Western Ontario in 2002 with a BA in Kinesiology, earned a second degree in Athletic Therapy from the Sheridan Institute of Technology in 2007 before gaining a master’s degree in Athletic Training from Bridgewater State this past spring.
Morgan Collins, who will work mostly with the Division III athletic teams, including soccer, basketball, and baseball, recently graduated from the University of Utah, earning her master’s degree in Sport Psychology. Prior to Utah, she gained a bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology with a concentration in Athletic Training from Mesa State College.
While at Mesa State, Collins worked with several Division II athletic programs, including football, baseball, wrestling, soccer, and basketball. She recently finished a term with Major League Soccer’s Real Salt Lake.
