Kimberly Loucks became just the second player in the history of Clarkson University Women’s Lacrosse to be named a first-team all-star when she was selected to the 2009 Liberty League All-Star Team.
While Loucks gained first-team praise, senior Emily Bojarski and freshman Hannah Walters earned honorable mention status.
A native of Waterloo, NY, Loucks set the single-season record at Clarkson for goals
in a season and tied the record for points in one year. She tallied 62 points, including 49 goals through 14 games at midfield. She ranks fourth all-time at the University in scoring with 129 points on 103 goals and 26 assists through 43 career games. Loucks, who recorded 29 ground balls, 20 draw controls and 13 caused turnovers this spring, was a three-time Liberty League Offensive Performer of the Week. She was an honorable mention all-star in 2008.
Clarkson’s all-time leading scorer, Bojarski earned honorable mention accolades for the third consecutive season. The Syracuse, NY native amassed 170 career points, including a school-record 132 goals through 59 games. She tied for second on the Knights in scoring this spring with 54 points at attack, including 42 goals in 14 games.
A native of Amherst, NH, Walters enjoyed a strong rookie
campaign in the Clarkson goal, posting a .514 save percentage and a 13.43 goals against average starting all 14 contests. She was named Liberty League Defender of the Week once and ranked first in the conference in saves and saves per game, and third in save percentage. Walters ranked in the top three nationally in saves (199) and saves per game while in the top 20 in save percentage.
