Junior Kimberly Loucks (Waterloo, NY) and freshman Nikki Corso (Derry, NH) each enjoyed an outstanding week for the Clarkson University Women's Lacrosse team as the duo earned Liberty League Weekly honors once again for the Golden Knights.
Loucks, who was named Offensive Performer of the Week for the third time this season, sharing the honor this week with a player from St. Lawrence, recorded 10 goals and an assist over two games in which the Knights went 1-1. In a win against Skidmore, she scored three goals, and then in a tough 15-13 loss to 12th-ranked Union, she added seven goals and an assist. She also added six groundballs and caused three turnovers against the Dutchwomen on Saturday.
For the season, Loucks leads the conference in goals scored with 48, setting a single-season record in goals scored for Clarkson. She narrowly ranks second overall in points with 60, just two shy of tying a two-year mark held by teammate Emily Bojarski.
As the conference's Rookie of the Week, an honor which she shared with another player from William Smith, Nikki Corso continues to be the dominant player in the league when it comes to groundballs. She scooped up three in each of this past weekend's games and now has 54 through 13 games. Additionally, she earned three draw controls and caused three turnovers, all while scoring a pair of goals and adding an assist. For the season, she has 29 caused turnovers, which also ranks first in the Liberty League.
