Clarkson Closes Out Season with Overtime Triumph at Potsdam

Freshman Kimberly Loucks (Waterloo, NY) connected for the game-winning goal 30 seconds into the second overtime stanza to lift the Clarkson University Women’s Lacrosse team to a 14-13 victory at SUNY Potsdam in the Golden Knights’ final game of the 2007 campaign.
 
Clarkson, which held a 7-5 lead at the half, scored four of the last six goals to gain its 10th straight victory over its cross-town rival. The Golden Knights, who won their last two games, closed out the season with a 6-9 overall record, equaling the most wins ever in the program’s 29-year history.
 
Sophomore Emily Bojarski (Syracuse, NY), who led Clarkson in scoring this year, tallied five goals to set the single-season record for goals (47) and points (62). Loucks scored a career-best four goals.
 
Senior Lindsey Grigg (Watertown, NY), who was named Clarkson’s Female Athlete of the Year at Friday’s athletic department banquet, chipped in three scores, including two in the final 12 minutes. The Knights’ all-time leading scorer, Griggs closed out her collegiate career with 163 points on 131 goals and 32 assists through 58 games. She recorded 51 points (36-15) this spring.
 
Junior Alicia Chace (Cortland, NY) rounded out the Clarkson scoring with two goals and one assist.
 
Senior Erin Duffy (Liverpool, NY) posted 10 saves in her final collegiate start to complete her Clarkson career with 12 victories, including six wins this season.
