It was a rough weekend on the road in Liberty League play for the Clarkson University Women’s Lacrosse team as it suffered its second straight loss to a comference power, falling on Saturday 16-4 at the University of Rochester.
Junior Lindsay Roberts (Averill Park, NY) and sophomore Emily Cohen (Bethlehem, NY) scored two goals apiece for the Golden Knights, who lost at 7th-ranked William Smith on Friday. Sophomore Erin Duffy (Liverpool, NY) went the distance in Clarkson's goal, finishing with 12 saves on 34 shots.
The Yellowjackets (2-3, 1-1) out shot the Green and Gold 34-18 and held a 9-0 lead at the half.
Clarkson, at 0-5 overall, is scheduled to host Utica College on Wednesday, March 30
