BAHR SCORES 2nd, HENNESSEY RECORDS SHUTOUT IN 1-0 WIN

Poughkeepsie, NY - Senior Mark Bahr (Rome, NY) became the first Clarkson University Men's Soccer player to tally two goals this season, scoring the game-winner late in the second half to lift the Golden Knights to a 1-0 Liberty League win over Vassar College Friday afternoon.

The Golden Knights improved to 3-5 overall and 1-0 in the Liberty League, while the Brewers dropped to 3-2 and 0-1. Clarkson visits Rensselaer at 4:00 pm on Saturday.

Bahr's second goal of the season came at the 78:49 mark of the second half, the first unassisted goal of the season for Clarkson. Sophomore goaltender David Hennessey (Wading River, NY) made eight stops for his second shutout of the season.

The Golden Knights were out shot 13-8, but held a 3-1 edge in corner kicks.
