GRIGG SCORES SIX in 10-8 CLARKSON WOMEN'S LACROSSE VICTORY

Utica, NY - Freshman Lindsey Grigg (Watertown, NY) scored six goals to lead the Clarkson University Women’s Lacrosse team to a 10-8 non-league victory on the road over Utica College on Wednesday afternoon. Grigg put the Golden Knights on top 9-7 on a free position shot at 15:40 of the second half and then sealed the victory with the final goal of the contest with 8:26 remaining. Utica (3-4) and Clarkson were tied 5-5 at the half.

Sophomore tri-captain Lindsay Roberts (Averill Park, NY) tallied two goals and an assist, while senior tri-captain Colleen Flynn (Syracuse, NY) and freshman Kaitlyn Domres (Hamburg, NY) added one goal apiece. Sophomore Jennifer Stelter (Syracuse, NY) recorded three assists.

Senior Allison Morlock (Lebanon, NH) and freshman Erin Duffy (Liverpool, NY) split time in the Golden Knights’ goal. Morlock picked up the win making four saves on nine shots. Duffy turned aside four of seven shots by the Pioneers.

At 2-2 overall, Clarkson returns to Upstate Collegiate Athletic Association (UCAA) action this weekend when it plays at Skidmore on Friday, 4:00 p.m., and at Union on Saturday, 11:00 a.m.
