Potsdam, NY - Despite five close shots on goal from Justin Crowley (Central Square, NY), the Clarkson University Men's Soccer team played to a 0-0 tie against Upstate Collegiate Athletic Association (UCAA) foe Vassar College Friday afternoon at Clarkson Field.

Freshman goaltender David Hennessey (Wading River, NY) made eight saves, several of which came on sprawling dives, to keep the Golden Knights (3-8-3) in the game, tallying his third shutout of the season. Senior goaltender Paul Connors (North Andover, MA) made eight saves for Vassar to record his fifth shutout of the season.

Vassar out shot the Golden Knights by a 16-12 margin, but Clarkson held a 7-4 advantage in corner kicks.

The Golden Knights, who moved to 3-8-3 overall and 1-4-1 in the UCAA, close the conference season against Rensselaer at 2:00 pm Saturday afternoon at Clarkson Field.
