In 2009, for the second straight year, the Clarkson University Men's Soccer team raced out to five victories and an impressive tie through its first eight games of the season, gaining a regional ranking in the process. Unfortunately, the Golden Knights' conclusions to those two years didn't match the fast starts. Whether the Green and Gold get off to another quick start in 2010 is irrelevant; what the team hopes for is a strong finish, one that includes a trip to the Liberty League Playoffs and beyond. Scott Desmond Picked as ECAC Scholar Athlete

Senior Scott Desmond of the Clarkson University Men's Soccer team was recently named as a recipient of the ECAC Scholar-Athlete Award. One of only six student-athletes in the country, and the only male in Division III athletics, Desmond, a native of Enfield, CT, earned the honor based on extraordinary achievements in academics, athletics, and community service.

After a solid first season as a coaching staff, second-year head coach Nick Hillary and assistant coach Ian Fairlie spent time traversing the recruiting trails for new talent for the Clarkson University Men’s Soccer team. Hillary’s first class has netted seven freshmen and a junior transfer to bolster an experienced squad that looks to jump into the Liberty League playoff picture in 2010. Read More...
